Dear business builder,
Let’s be fair. When you buy a bottle of Coke, you don’t care whom you buy it from. You already know what’s inside.
But if you are to buy a service promising a benefit harder to test, predict, or to guarantee — or even a product you never tried before — you only do it when you trust the seller, right?
That’s why trust is the first wall you hit in sales. And when you’re trying to sell using digital marketing, that wall becomes a nightmare.
You spend days, weeks or even months fine-tuning campaign settings, tweaking ads, staring at dashboards, only to feel like you’re gambling.
No predictability or control — just a foggy hope that next month won’t suck as much.
The worst part? This is actually normal to happen. Because most people are suspicious by nature. And the AI hype is now pushing their guard even higher.
They’re bombarded with endless ads, shocking claims, deep-fakes and “too-good-to-be-true” offers that usually fall short. And in this sort of environment, most people won’t risk even a click until they feel it’s safe.
Because ads feels like another trap in their feed. Their first instinct is to keep scrolling. Just one glimpse of doubt or uncertainty and they move on — no click, no engagement, no sale.
Even if they reach your site, trust is on thin ice. Something — invisible to you, but unsettling to them — triggers that gut-level “nope”. Seconds later they vanish, and the click you paid for leaves no trace in your analytics.
Skepticism is the #1 enemy of marketing budgets. It leads to high advertising costs, low conversion rates and it’s a hard brake to any business growth.
Obviously, you can not control what your prospects feel. But you can surely influence it. In fact, that’s the only way to combat skepticism and flip the tide to your advantage.
And there are several tools to help you do that. But for reasons I’ll later explain, we prefer the SCARF model: a simple, yet powerful framework born in the neuroscience community, that taps 5 core emotional triggers.
We first tested the model back in 2022 and results were remarkable right from the start — double-digit revenue growth rates with ad campaigns running for just 3 months.
In fact, one client, a financial services company, achieved its highest profit in 20 years using this model. It’s what we’ve seen time and again: SCARF is, by far, the most effective ROI lever we’ve ever used.
It’s also one of the big reasons we feel confident offering written result guarantees to our clients. Yes, this may sound like big claims too, but case studies prove it.
The model’s 5 triggers might seem abstract at first. But, when properly used, SCARF fights skepticism almost like a magic formula. Actually, if we were to imagine SCARF as being a product, we would advertise it like this:
Now seriously…
You’re probably reading this because — one way or another — your business isn’t where you want it to be. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed by loads of tasks, dragged in all directions by never ending to-do’s.
Getting less sleep than parents with teething babies. And all that cashflow uncertainty making your hair grow white.
Or maybe you’re pretty good, but you simply want MORE — security, freedom, money, memories. More time with your family.
Regardless of where your business is today, adding SCARF at the root of your marketing will make your revenue goals a reality faster than any other tool of it’s kind.
And I bet my reputation on this. You’ll see why in the next 5 minutes, as I explain:
- what makes SCARF such a potent formula for reducing sales-friction and making your campaigns a lucrative salesforce;
- how to use this model for getting double-digit growth rates with minimum efforts, in the least amount of time;
- why today is the best time to check if your business qualifies for our limited offer — a custom fully-detailed free strategy (worth €1,200) made to quickly place your business on high growth trajectory.

Inside their minds
You see, traditional business schools and consultants tell you that success in sales is about understanding the needs and wants of people in your target market. And delivering on that.
Still, this is just half of the story — or even less — as real growth requires going beyond that. To clarify why this is, we need to consider two concepts. Basic stuff, yet extremely important.
Firstly, human nature is driven by two fundamental forces — fear and desire. They are the ones to make you take ACTION, depending on what your values, principles, context and beliefs are.
And most of the times, fear and desire are just faces of the same coin.
If you are true to yourself, you know that whenever you desire a specific outcome, deep down you are — more or less — afraid of the opposite scenario becoming real.
For example, if you believe diplomas are major ingredients for life success, you’ll get happy whenever your child gets a high grade. And start feeling concerned for every bad one.
You’ll likely feel neutral only when you think diplomas don’t really matter, and there are more important things that will shape your kid’s life success.
But let me give you an example relevant to sales. Imagine you having teenage kids and a travel agency is trying to sell you an expensive cruise trip. For that, they use two distinct ads.
The first ad says Explore the world’s most exotic places. The second one — Give your kids the chance you never had to see the world’s most exotic places.
If you’re afraid of your kids remembering you as a lousy parent, which of the ads is more likely to make you want to buy?
It’s just a fact. Our brains are wired to prioritize avoiding catastrophes compared to chasing perfection. And most of the problems that people perceive are not actually real. Just like Seneca said — we mainly suffer in our imagination.
People’s needs and wants are not just related to a specific solution. In reality, most of them are about the confidence that the solution will also work for them, and in the best possible way. These needs and wants emerge from various fears.
And if your advertising doesn’t take those fears into account, they become objections. Meaning burned marketing budgets.
That’s why understanding what people fear is far more valuable than understanding what they claim they want. It is the only key to highly profitable advertising.
Your mission is finding a way to make prospects share those fears with you. That’s the tricky part — most people hate sharing that, as it makes them feel vulnerable.
And let’s not forget that people are selfish too. They don’t care about your business, your products or services, certifications or client portfolio. They only want to fix their problems. Actually, if they could do it without buying from you, they would feel even better.
Therefore, best ads only talk about what’s important to THEM. Yet most entrepreneurs seem to miss that. They want to look important so their advertising is only a form of bragging.
That’s why 90% of the ads I see online are pure crap. But don’t get me wrong — I think this means fantastic growth opportunities for smart businesses.
What builds & destroys trust
Even if your ads are perfect, people won’t trust the first solution they bump into while scrolling on social media. Especially if it comes from a seller they never met before. This must be always expected.
So we arrive to the second concept that will help you dramatically increase your sales. The very basic notion of trust. And what it translates into.
Trust grows in the absence of fear, regardless of it’s forms — anxiety, concern, doubt, etc. We feel it when our brain projects positive scenarios. Nothing new.
But what triggers fear in the first place? What makes us feel threatened in our day to day lives?
I’ve spent years trying to find a simple answer to how fear emerges in human interactions. The answer finally came to me one evening, while listening to a podcast.
Yes, I’m talking about the SCARF model.
And I absolutely fell in love with it because it’s simple and universal. You know what they say – simplicity scales and complexity fails.
Very few marketers know about it, or how to effectively use this framework, simply because it was formulated for a totally different purpose — to improve team collaboration and productivity within organizations.
It was introduced in 2008 by David Rock, a world-class expert on the neuroscience of leadership and executive coaching.
This short video explains the emotional triggers that this brain-based model is all about.
Doing it the scarf way
As you can see, the threat-reward mechanism described by the SCARF model is rooted in basic human psychology.
I’m not sure SCARF’s creator knows it, but his model is a tool that feels like a new breakthrough in sales and advertising.
That’s why my team and I spent years perfecting an approach that effectively uses his model to sell nearly anything, without using expensive ads or appealing to ridiculous sales discounts.
An approach that feels like an equation — reducing your advertising costs to the minimum, and making your ads campaign truly magnetic to the right people.
1 Romanian Leu ≈ 0.2 Euro
The best part? You can pause your ads whenever your business gets flooded with clients. Or when you just want some time off.
The SCARF approach helps you deeply understand what’s keeping people up at night. So that you have all their attention once they see your ads — regardless of how long the ads might be.
And you can easily test it’s effects not only with your ads. You can do it for every piece of content your prospects engage with: website, emails, presentations, etc.
If you pass through the SCARF lens every step of journey that people take to becoming your clients — and even going beyond that point — you’ll discover the best possible advertising strategy leading your business to high growth.
For example, telling prospects your solution is better than what they currently have may not be the best idea. To some of them, this means they made a bad choice in the past.
This is why — as you’re firing their Status trigger in a negative way — their guard naturally goes up. They get in defense mode by instinct and ignore your ads, even if your offer is indeed much better. All they want is to protect their past options.
Instead, find a way to get them reach that conclusion by themselves. Placing them in a comparison mode will activate the thinking part of their brains. That’s where desire is born.
Do your best to amplify that desire for what you sell. You’ll get more leads and clients than your business can possibly handle.
But don’t leave your gates wide open. If leads is what you’re after — and you make it too easy for prospects to get in touch with your business — you’ll soon get overwhelmed by crowds just shooting shit and wasting your time.
If they won’t spend the time to provide you clear information about their needs, they’ll never be good clients to work with. Because they just don’t see much value in your offer. Try booking a call with us and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
And if you get to the point of actually having to tell them you’re not a fit, you risk turning them into your worst advocates, talking bad about you on every occasion. Just because they felt you harmed their status.
Now, about the next SCARF trigger…
Let’s say your ad campaign doesn’t suggest how long they have to wait until they get what they want. Or how much effort is involved on their side. Or how likely is your product or service to actually fix their problem.
How do you think this acts on the Certainty trigger?
It’s no wonder Uber became so popular. Unlike most traditional taxi services, you actually know how much you have to wait for your car. You know who is driving it. You know how long the journey will take.
As much as you can, make your processes feel predictable, regardless of their nature — how they get to buy from you, how your service or product delivery looks like. A higher level of certainty will boost their confidence multiple times.
There are many ways to act on each SCARF trigger, in both good and bad ways. Describing all of them is impossible, but as you think more of these triggers — and how you’re pushing prospects’ buttons — you’ll see more clearly what fixes and improvements your campaign needs.
Here are two more examples about the Relatedness trigger as this might feel the most abstract. I feel it’s better to think of it as the Familiarity trigger. The first example one relates to language.
As they evolve, both on personal level and business-wise, entrepreneurs become sophisticated and tend to project that in the language they use, with technical words that most prospects find unfamiliar. Many times, they appeal to abstract concepts in their advertising.
But abstract concepts glide off people like water skims duck feathers. Simple language bothers no one. But most prospects run away from something difficult to understand.
To maximize sales, all campaign copy — meaning its texts and messages, if copy sounds unfamiliar to you — should use language that makes a kid feel comfortable reading it. Simplifying your campaign copy will make a greater audience pay attention to it.
Now, the last example for describing this familiarity trigger might be the most important one to scaling a business.
Most businesses build their campaigns with are asking to “Buy now”, “Book a treatment”, “Contact us” or for similar actions. It’s best to avoid that. Because very few people in your market are ready to buy today.
They could be less than 1%, depending on what you sell. About 20% of them are just looking for more information or — even though they need a solution like yours — they have other priorities to take care of.
But nearly 80% of your market is made of people not even aware of the problem your solution fixes. And like already said, most of their problems come from imagination, not from obvious necessities.
They don’t know they need a car with improved performance, an undiscovered vacation destination, a revolutionary skin treatment, the latest solar panels with quadrupled efficiency, some smarter software or even a more proactive accountant for their business.
Asking these people to buy from you at this stage of awareness is like asking someone to marry you from the first date. Strange and unfamiliar, right?
Making these people aware of their problems by educating them ALWAYS pays off. Provide them as much relevant information as you can because that’s what they’re looking for at this stage. When time comes, they will feel familiar with you — and safe to buy your solution.
Most entrepreneurs avoid doing this, thinking very few people will get to buy. Or they’ll buy from competitors. Or that getting them to buy will take forever. They think the effort of educating their market does not pay off.
However, taking the time to find the perfect your campaign messages will result in bypassing hesitation quickly, sparking sales at a pace you never thought possible.
But remember this. If you promise people to take them from point A, where they suffer somehow, to point B — whatever that means with your service or product — you better make sure you highlight the entire journey, leaving no pockets of shadow on it.
Otherwise, most prospects associate them with SCARY things — like delays, incompetence or hidden costs — depending on their past experiences.
And if you do NOT promise taking them from hell to heaven, but just getting them back on Earth… there’s a great risk you’ll bore them, and quickly loose their interest.
The beauty of the SCARF model is that it helps you know exactly what to say — and how to say it.
Moreover, it’s the most effective way in advertising to kill fears and skepticism around your solution — or at least reduce them to a minimum — so that your target market is 10x times more likely to trust your business.
But, just like with sales, persistence in advertising is the key to big wins. Because most people won’t buy or get in touch with you right after they first see your ad. Nor on their first website visit.
Constantly reminding them about your offer is critical. And there are multiple ways to stay on top of their minds.
Still, you need to know when to stop talking. Not everyone engaged with your campaign is a prospect. This is a lonely planet — tones of bored and curious people just love eating your marketing budget alive.
In fact, this kind of people will always be the majority of those interacting with your campaign. Therefore, without carefully measuring the responses and engagement of your prospects, your entire ad campaign is nothing more than…
Expensive guesswork
Regardless of how effective the SCARF approach is, a trust-building formula is NOT enough to get you substantial and consistent business growth.
Unless you have a science-backed marketing system to do that — you risk wasting precious time, money and energy, and end up with a bunch of bad leads and bargain hunters banging on your door.
And those couch-gurus claiming funnels are dead and digital marketing has become a highly complex pinball game… they either don’t really have a clue about scientific advertising, or they’re simply lying to you.
Because effective advertising is, in fact, a combination of art and science. Its working principles have been proven many decades ago, long before radio, TV or the internet were around.
They haven’t changed at all, because human psychology didn’t. The internet just made advertising so much cheaper.
And advertising principles work the same, regardless of how much you want your business to grow.
See for yourself — mixing these principles with our SCARF formula, we’ve managed to:
- help a financial consulting company achieve their highest net profit in their 20+ year history, mostly by just using an interview recorded with their CEO;
- increase annual sales by 61% for a custom vinyl fences production company, generating more than 200 requests in less than 3 months.
Stories like these make us so confident about SCARF, but I just want to point out one thing.
Our approach to digital marketing was designed for one goal — to get more and bigger clients than you can handle today, so that your business has room to grow as fast as possible.
Kill your skepticism
Maybe you think what you offer would still be hard to sell, even when using our trust-building formula and scientific advertising. Maybe it is, maybe not — who knows?
In any case, we love a good challenge. So how about a risk-free deal to actually know that, with little effort on your side?
You book a free 30-minute strategy call with us and tell us what your goals are. That’s how you also check if we are a good fit.
In return, we thoroughly analyze your business: ideal customer profiles, competitors, operating model and industry specifics, sales strategy, existing marketing assets, past campaigns… Everything!
Once we have a clear understanding, we design and give you a high-growth strategy that covers every single step needed for you to build an effective digital selling system.
A system that makes strangers on the internet move fast from asking What is this? to saying That’s exactly what I want! — while you spend €1 with advertising, to generate a return on your investment of at least €5.
I dare to say this selling system is unlike anything else you might have seen before — and we are designing it for you at no cost.
Simply because that’s how we usually get new customers. Some people chose to have us build their selling systems, some choose to do it for themselves.
Just think about it. You pay NOTHING and get the detailed blueprint of your very own system, that automatically does most of the sales heavy lifting for you.
And that’s proven to:
- bring you new contacts, leads and sales every single month;
- grow your business by at least 30% in 3 to 6 months;
- keep bad leads away from draining your energy and focus;
- stop making you wonder what should you post on social media — and whether you should make your entire life public;
- make you forget about hosting ineffective workshops and webinars, networking with people who never get to buy, or about what matters TODAY for the ever-changing Google algorithm;
- get you more time, more profits, and less stress about your business.
And that’s not all. You get this growth blueprint for free, but you also have ZERO obligation to implement it with us. You can do it by yourself or with any other agency out there.
Still, one thing is for sure. In this noisy, cliché-packed space of digital marketing, you need something different to stand out. And that’s what we promise you — something different.
If you want to have at least an idea about what it takes to really accelerate your business growth — you really should claim your free 30-minute strategy call, by using the button below.
But please do it only if you’re dead serious about scaling business. We are a small team, so we are only able to design 3 or 4 selling systems every month.
To higher-profits horizons,

Things you might
be asking
A smart digital marketing agency doesn’t start with ad budgets or channels—it starts with you. We study your numbers, your customers, and the things that make your offer worth talking about. From there we trace the traffic flows, choose the platforms that will really move the needle, and run ongoing split-tests to keep every cent pulling its weight.
That’s the baseline. Webglue goes further. “Perfect balance” is nice, but breakthroughs pay the bills. Our job is to out-perform your competitors, turn curious visitors into hungry buyers, and squeeze the highest ROI out of every click with conversion-first strategies proven across dozens of service businesses.
Your headcount and turnover don’t matter nearly as much as your mindset. We partner with service businesses that are hungry for growth—whether that’s a five-person local practice or a multi-site operation with hundreds of employees. If you value spending €1 to make €5, welcome to the club.
Investment-wise, partnering with us starts at €500 a month, letting you prove ROI before scaling further.
Because we’re willing to bet on ourselves—and put that bet in writing.
We agree on clear growth targets and a timeline. If we miss them, you stop paying and we keep working—free—until the numbers land where we said they would. No “weasel-word” clauses, no excuses.
This offer is only for businesses already running profitable Google, Meta, or other digital campaigns for at least the last six months. If your ads are brand-new or still bleeding cash, we can help—just not under the guarantee.
If you’ve got real traction and want to scale faster with zero downside risk, the choice is straightforward.
Short answer: whatever it takes to hit your numbers. Long answer:
Deep-dive diagnosis – market, message, margins, funnel leaks.
Channel mix built for ROI – Google, Meta, LinkedIn, email, retargeting—chosen for impact, not hype.
Irresistible creative & offers – copy, video, landing pages engineered to convert skeptics into buyers.
Full-stack tracking – pixels, server-side events, first-party data so every click is traceable to revenue.
Relentless optimisation – A/B tests, bid adjustments, CRO tweaks, weekly sprints until CPA drops and LTV climbs.
No two businesses get the same recipe; your growth plan is custom-mixed, stress-tested, and iterated until it prints results. That’s digital marketing the Webglue way.
